Filling the fuel tank the gas pump shut off thinking the tank was full when if fact the fuel gauge showed it wasn't full, i proceeded to fill the tank again and it took an additional 2 gal. Before it registered full, i did this two other times and the same thing occurred, in addition i would drive approximately 60miles and the fuel gauge would show that i used approximately 4-5gal of gas? Traveling down a four lane road going 55 mph. It was around 10 a.m., sunny and dry. There was no debris on the road. I heard a loud "pop" which came from behind the passenger seat and in front of back tire. We looked for debris on the road, saw none. Car was running fine.
