I was driving on the freeway and all of a sudden my hood flew up onto my windshield. It was very frightening... I don't understand how this can happen when the hood is latched shut.

I tried to release the hood by way of pulling the interior latch, it did not open. I called the dealership they told me to bring it in the next day. I got out of the car and pressed on it (to be sure it was closed) and drove away from the gas station. I was driving 30 miles per hour when the hood let go and hyperextended and flew up in front of me and i was unable to see anything.

While driving on i95 the car shut off and was steered very difficultly to the off ramp and the side of the road. Smoke started to come out of the front of the car and i exited the car and the car proceeded to be engulfed in flames burning the front half of the car to the front seats. I was driving my car (2013 nissan altima) last week all of the sudden without prior notice the rear lower control arm cracked down. I was in motion but luckly not in a highway. The car was traveling about 20 miles/h. I lost control of the car but didn't cause injuries or accidents. I had to tow the car home.
